Whatever artistic orientation you might have, be it painting, drawing, architecture, interior design, or design in the larger sense, the art of drawing is the key to success before even talking about creativity.
How do you declaim a Russian poem without ever having spoken the language…why would it be different regarding drawing which is another language, a different handwriting in itself …?

In order to excel in drawing, in sketching, one must learn to see, observe, and analyse the relationship between different volumes, shapes and lines with respect to each other and to realise how light and shadows influence shapes and volumes.

Still life sketches allow the understanding of the structure and static volumes of objects, whereas nude sketches allow one to capture body mouvements that radiate a multitude of information coming from a living body moving from one pose to another.

The art courses that I propose are based on the principal that each student receives a personally adapted program with respect to his or her artistic level, in a warm environnement, motivated by the stoke of the line and respect for the model.
The drawing lessons take place in my art studio in the 11th arrondissement of Paris with a maximum of 4 students per class.
